Jesus can't do anything for us

My faith is indicline due to the lack of reliability of the gospels. Why should i believe what they say about jesus? How would i know that they quoted him right? And after digging i found that Irenaeus in his "against heresies" book 3 was the first in the church at around year 180 to atribute the gospels to john, mark, mathew and luke. He never mentions how he knows that which makes me doubt the traditional atribution of their authorship. Also they're written in third person style not first person, for example in john the author writes "Jesus said to THE disciples and never "Jesus said to US". How would i know that they are transmiting reliable information about jesus? Please answer🙏

As a brit i feel sorry for this guy. This is American low level of logic. Aka using their own emotional subjective understanding instead of what actual Christian acedemics think: When you study theology ar degree level the first book you will read is the New Jerome Biblical commentary edited by Father Raymond Brown (famous for being an offical document as it has no Doctrinal errors) in which ot says about the historical Jesus' oringal teachings vs modern day noted on the law in which he says: "The position adopted here is the following; there are contradictions in the New Testament on penultimate matters.The verses in this passage reflects the outlook of Jewish Christianity, which as a separate movement, was essentially defeated by Paulinism and died out. Perhaps to be reborn in a different form as Islam". Or how about HJ Schoeps (German academic and world renouned expert in this field) where he quotes (and you can find this also in the book "the Islamic Jesus") "This is a Paradox of world histortic proportions that Jewish Christianity (aka Jesus original teachings) which faded within the Catholic Church was preserved in islam".

We learn so much on the questions we ask , the answers we receive. I’m doing teaching as well on media , most important is getting the word of God out and letting the Holy Spirit move , God bless you and your team

Wow. Just in time. I agree with this young lady and her saying that she struggled with fear of humans I didn’t know the word for that but that’s exactly it. I isolate myself a lot because I’m afraid of what they’ll say or afraid of that rejection/abandonment. Like she said God is working but I find myself going back and forth to this pain. One day I’ll be free and I know this sister will be too ❤️

Wow this is so insightful!!! How to get to heaven❤️: We've all sinned and if God gave us justice we would end up in hell but we have a way to escape this punishment because of what Jesus did on the cross: 1- Believe that Jesus is God who died on the cross for our sins and rose again 2-Know that you are a sinner in need of a saviour and can't get to heaven by doing good or by any religious works 3- Turn from sin and obey God out of love for God and truly love everyone (reading the Bible will help a lot)

Ha, singleness? If you're chasing relationships outside of Jesus, you risk sexual immorality. Single is better until the lord introduces your wife to you if that is in his will.
